RE: 95 Northern Boulevard Renovation
To: Potential Customers of Britton Construction
Inc.

BEFORE |

AFTER |
"My wife Kristina and I had been thinking for
the last several years about renovating our 100 year old beach house.
Through the fall of '04 and spring of '05 we noticed Britton Construction
signs across the street from us. During that time we saw the comings and
goings of framers, electricians, plumbers, roofers, siders, and the like.
While change took place at our neighbor’s
house we witnessed the early arrival each day of the workers and observed
their diligence, all day long, every day until the job was completed.
We visited the worksite on several occasions and had the opportunity to
talk with the workers and look at their craftsmanship. In each case we
experienced polite and professional individuals that took pride in their
work and took the time to explain how their particular piece of the job
fit into the overall picture. We were impressed and convinced that Britton
Construction was particular about the help they employed.
On Tuesday July 5, 2005, we called Bob Britton at
8:00AM and left a message that we were interested in having him look at
our house and discussing a potential project. By 10:00AM that same morning
Bob and Chris Currier, Bob's General Manager, knocked at the front door.
By Thursday that same week Bob had prepared rough drawings of what the
outside of the house might look like. We discussed interior changes that
would likely occur. We agreed to what changes would be made.
At this point there was no question about moving
forward with Britton Construction. We were completely impressed with the
creativeness that Bob demonstrated in taking our existing ramshackle house
and developing a truly unique and special design. By the following week
Chris and members of his framing team were at the house taking measurements.
By the end of the second week we had scale drawings in hand.
Chris began to explain the various legal and environmental
hurdles that would need to be overcome before moving forward. Again, we
were immediately impressed with Chris' communication skills, ability to
work through details and sometimes ambiguous legal challenges, and his
passion for customer satisfaction. Chris managed and resolved all the
legal challenges that would need to be overcome in making changes to our
house. He explained in detail the reasons for each town committee approval,
status of current local, state and federal legislation around property
changes, and expected timeframes for resolution. This was very helpful
in setting and meeting our expectations around scheduling.
Demolition began in February '06 after all town
and state regulations had been satisfied for making changes to a residential
building on a Massachusetts barrier reef island. Bob and Chris estimated
that we would be able to move in before Memorial Day.
Chris oversaw the entire building process and was in constant communication
with us several times weekly over a 4 month period. This was key to the
whole process as most of the work occurred while were in Connecticut.
Chris and I worked through a number of items and he facilitated expertly
any issues that arose to resolution.
Bob visited the job site frequently to ensure the
quality met his and our expectations. The quality of craftsmanship exceeded
our expectations as well as the building materials used. Bob and Chris
were always very clear on change orders and all changes were implemented
on time and on budget.
All the sub contractors that Britton Construction
used clearly demonstrated the same level of commitment to a quality end
product and to customer satisfaction that Bob and Chris have.
We moved back in Memorial Day weekend as Chris had
promised and have enjoyed our new house since.
In conclusion, my wife Kristina and I can only give
Britton Construction the highest recommendation to any potential customer.
Their level of design, construction and management expertise coupled with
their high standards for quality and ethics speak miles for what anyone
can expect in a project relationship."
Sincerely,
Rob and Kristina DiMartino
