"We have just completed the renovation of our 1930’s bungalow style home. The project began in November 2005 and was completed in April 2006. The renovations required the house to be completely gutted and the second story removed and replaced. Throughout the project, we were very impressed with the professionalism and quality of Britton Construction.

The aspect of this project that was the most impressive was the ability of Bob Britton to review our original architectural plans and make suggestions that enhanced the design and configuration of space. In particular, Bob suggestions improved the flow of the house while maintaining and improving its bungalow characteristics and style. Bob had an excellent knowledge of the bungalow and craftsman style home. Although Bob, along with Chris Currier, often made suggestions to the design, they were also very willing to listen and hear our suggestions and/or concerns.

We were also extremely impressed with Chris Currier and his ability to manage the project and subcontractors in a way that allowed for high quality craftsmanship and completion of the project in a timely manner. The renovations project was completed within the time frame Britton Construction had said it would take. We were also pleased with the quality and professionalism of all the contractors either hired or recommended to us by Chris and Britton Construction. Chris was also extremely helpful in guiding us through all the steps of the renovation process and facilitating the many decisions we had to make by keeping us informed on the progress and the timing of our decisions so that there would be no delays.

During the renovation process, it was a pleasure to visit the site each morning and discuss the progress and the finer details of the finish carpentry work with Jim Carey and Steve Martin. They were extremely polite and cordial each morning at 7:00 am and, most importantly, their work exceeded our expectations. Almost as important, they were also able to provide guidance, along with some humor, when it was well needed.

This was our first renovation project and we are pleased we chose to work with Britton Construction. As difficult as renovations can be, Britton Construction made the job easier for us by keeping us informed, staying on schedule and offering their own as well as listening to our suggestions, ideas and concerns. Throughout the whole project we felt we were working as a team. We would not hesitate to work with Britton Construction again or recommend them to others."
